The Buckhead Coalition has partnered with the Atlanta Public Schools in Buckhead in a recycling effort.

The chamber-type civic group has purchased recycling bins for each of the community’s five elementary schools and Willis Sutton Middle School. The bins will hold soda cans and plastic water bottles.

E. Rivers Elementary PTA president Pamela Watson requested the bin for her school. The Buckhead Coalition then added Morris Brandon, Garden Hills, Warren Jackson and Sarah Smith elementary schools and the middle school.

The coalition also recently joined the Greeniac Nation Program as a pledge to seek ways to protect the environment.

Coalition President Sam Massell, explained, “As we make our rounds in civic, social, political and business activities, there will frequently be opportunities to be a part of the ‘green movement’ to favorably impact the quality of life of those who live and visit and work and play in this community.”
