Brookhaven yards ‘trenched’

The yards of several homes in the Historic Brookhaven Neighborhood have been “trenched” over a period of several weeks, apparently by off-road vehicles, said Stephanie McGarity, who coordinates the public safety patrols on the east side of Peachtree-Dunwoody Road.
McGarity sent out an e-mail alert Jan. 18 urging anyone who had their yard trenched to call 911 to have an officer come to the home to file a report and take pictures.
There also was a report of trenching in the meadow area of the new Nancy Creek Park on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. It was caused by someone driving around in circles in a recently planted area.
