PAGE Foundation honors Brookhaven’s STAR students

Each year, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators Foundation honors students who receive the highest scores on the SAT, the college entrance examination, and have grade-point averages in the top 10 percent of their classes. The foundation designates STAR students through the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition program. Each STAR students then choses a teacher as his or her STAR teacher.

After STAR students and teachers are chosen from high schools, school system winners are named. They compete to be the STAR students in 12 districts and winners from the district compete for the title of state STAR student.
