Teens’ yard sale raises $8,265

A yard sale held by two Buckhead teenagers raised $8,265 to help people injured in the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti, the mother of one the boys said. Max Barab and Sam Schaffer solicited contributions from friends and neighbors for the sale on Feb. 27 and 28. They planned to donate the proceeds to Help For Haiti Now, the charity that hosted a televised fundraising concert that inspired their yard sale.
