On May 9, the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods sent members an email with a link to a proposed design of the new North Atlanta High School.

The design, published in March, describes the high school in detail. The new high school will be located on Northside Parkway at the former site of the IBM campus.

The high school will consist of multiple levels, including a level for its center for the arts, international studies, business marketing and broadcast journalism. The renovations will accommodate 1,800 students in four small schools consisting of 450 students each.

The tentative schedule to complete the project is 2012 through 2013, with a planned opening date of Aug. 2013. The approximate cost is $44 million.
