Two men honored as officer and employee of the second quarter

Mendel Stafford

The police department has named Reserve Officer Mendel Stafford and Records Supervisor Roger Jones as the city’s officer and employee of the second quarter.

Stafford serves in a number of community outreach programs including warrant service, citizens police academy and firearms safety.

Roger Jones

Jones joined SSPD in 2006. The police department recognized him for his work ethic and his skill at overseeing the organization of thousands of SSPD police reports, the department said on its website.

The department congratulates both men.
