U.S. Rep. Tom Price caters to the rich
To the editor:
U.S. Rep. Tom Price speaks to the Sandy Springs Rotary Club on Aug. 13, 2012.
I looked at the article under “Community” entitled “Price warns of looming tax apocalypse” [Brookhaven Reporter, Aug. 24-Sept. 6] and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. This inflated language is typical of Fox News, but should be beneath Dr. Price.
Bush, Cheney and friends created this mess, and this president attempted to deal with the aftermath with no cooperation from Price and his cohorts. They have done nothing to aid in recovery, and now he warns of an “apocalypse.”
If you look at Dr. Tom Price’s past, his voting record and the PACs and businesses who throw money at him, (see votesmart.org) you will quickly understand that he was elected for and by the medical establishment, banks, Wall Street…in short, the rich, and that is how he votes, for them.
The rich got a whole lot richer and the poor more poor. The rich may be asked to pay their fair share and therefore, it is their “apocalypse,” which means perhaps they are made accountable for tax havens, and heaven forbid, even taxed 10 percent more, which would mean earning $9 million instead of $10 million.
He and his friends will do everything in their power to make sure that terrible, horrible thing does not happen to them.
