Resist liberal ideas

To the editor:

Your excellent pro/con page about the charter schools vote was most helpful.

You did not state the party affiliation of Rep. Ed Lindsey [R-Buckhead], but it shone through his column.

Insistence that local parents cannot be trusted to act in the best interests of their own children. A dogma that centralized powerful government knows best. A messy argument that talks as little about the issue as he can get away with, relying instead on irrelevant other issues while hiding the true motivation – to get control of local funds for his tax-and-spend policies.

We Republicans believe in the power of individual freedom, and must resist these liberal communistic ideas.
