Sandy Springs Police arrested a burglary suspect after a brief car chase March 24.
Anthony Reed Eden of Smiths Station, 43, of Alabama, was driving a Ford F-150 truck when officers received and responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the 5800 block of Riverside Drive. A burglary call was received in the same vicinity around the same time. An officer initiated a traffic stop after the truck was spotted at Riverside Drive and I-285.
Police said Eden vehicle fled from the officer a short distance down I-285 eastbound and wrecked while exiting Glenridge Drive. Eden was taken into custody and is being treated at Grady Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. A number of items were recovered from the vehicle and are being investigated as possible stolen items. Eden is wanted by Columbus (Georgia) Police and Seminole County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office for Vehicle Theft.
