The new intersection of Windsor Parkway and Roswell Road in Sandy Springs will open the afternoon of Mon., April 11, according to the city.

The formerly Y-shaped intersection was realigned to meet the new Gateway development on the other side of Roswell Road in a construction project that took several months.

When the new intersection opens, through traffic will no longer be permitted onto the old Windsor Parkway from Hedden Street west to Roswell Road. Traffic access to all properties on old Windsor Parkway, between Roswell Road and Hedden Street, will be maintained from Roswell Road only. The traffic signal at old Windsor Parkway will be removed.

The old section of Windsor will be closed just west of Jolyn Place. Driveways along old Windsor from Roswell Road to Jolyn will be accessed from Roswell Road only after the closure, according to city spokesperson Sharon Kraun.

A bit more road work is coming, according to the city. The intersection of Jolyn Place and Windsor Parkway will be closed for approximately four hours on the afternoon and evening of April 11 while paving crews complete the intersection.
