The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce will hold its first of a series of breakfast Networking and Speaker sessions on Tuesday, May 24, featuring Lee Thomas, deputy commissioner of the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office, a division of the state’s Department of Economic Development.

The meeting is 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at The Hyatt Perimeter, 4000 Summit Blvd NE, Atlanta, 30319. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for non members. Breakfast will be served.

Thomas, an Atlanta native, will discuss Georgia’s film, music and multimedia business opportunities. Lee began work at the Georgia Film and Videotape Office as a project manager in 1996, and then became a location specialist for the office in 1998. After finding locations for film and television projects for 12 years, Lee became director in 2011.

The Networking and Speaker sessions are aimed at providing Brookhaven and other metro Atlanta businesses an opportunity to meet and learn more about local interest items, said Chamber President Alan Goodman.

“The City of Brookhaven is unique in that we have a large number of small businesses and entrepreneurs,” said Goodman in a statement. “We are always looking for ways to add value to our members. By focusing on speakers whose subjects directly affect their businesses and customers,  we continue to add value to our membership.”
