An emergency clean-up issue at the city of Brookhaven’s Lynwood Park pool forced the pool to close Wednesday. The pool will reopen Thursday at noon.
The city’s pools at Briarwood Park and Murphey Candler Park remain open.
The summer schedule for pools:
Schedule (while school is out of session)
All pools:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: noon-6 p.m.
Tuesday & Friday: noon-8 p.m.
Sunday: 1-6 p.m.
Murphey Candler & Briarwood pools:
Saturday: noon-8 p.m. (If there is a swim meet, opening time is 1 p.m.)
Lynwood pool:
Saturday: noon-6 p.m.
Schedule (while school is back in session beginning Aug. 8. Pools close for the season after Labor Day.)
Monday-Friday: closed
Murphey-Candler & Briarwood pools:
Saturday: noon-8 p.m.
Sunday: 1-6 p.m.
Lynwood pool
Saturday & Sunday: 1-6 p.m.
Labor Day: noon-6 p.m.
