A man was found dead in the McDonald’s restaurant at the corner of Roswell Road and Wieuca Road in Buckhead on Aug. 30.
The medical examiner was on the scene at 4:30 p.m. and will determine the cause of death, said Atlanta police spokesperson Officer Lukasz Sajdak. It does not appear as though the man was shot, he said.
The manager of the McDonald’s called 911 after finding a man not breathing in his vehicle in the restaurant’s parking lot. While conducting the investigation, police learned the manager had an active warrant for his arrest.
“The manager attempted to run from police but was apprehended,” Sajdak said. “At this time there appears to be no direct relation between the manager’s warrant and the male deceased in the car. The investigation is still ongoing.”
