From police reports dated Aug. 21 through Sept. 3.

The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.

Robbery

3500 Castlegate Dr. NW – On Aug. 26 during the day, a man said that while he was on the street a male suspect approached him in a black sedan. He said the suspect jumped out of the car, put a gun to his head, and demanded he surrender his belongings. The victim handed over his wallet containing his driver’s license, debit/credit cards, and $120 cash. The suspect then fled the location.

1000 block of Huff Rd. NW – Aug. 26 in the morning, a woman said she was walking to the entrance of her building when a black four-door sedan pulled up next to her. A male suspect approached the victim and snatched her purse. The purse contained credit/debit cards, driver’s license, and $20 cash. Several witnesses were on the scene that were able to describe and verify the incident.

1000 block of Chattahoochee Ave. NW – On Aug. 24 in the evening, a woman left her vehicle running while getting money from an ATM. A male suspect attempted to steal the vehicle. The victim was able to fight the male suspect and get him out of the vehicle. He then fled the location.

700 block of Holmes St. NW – On Aug. 27 in the morning, the victims said they were walking back to their apartment when they were stopped by a silver four-door sedan. Several suspects demanded the victims surrender their wallets after the suspects pointed a gun at them. The victims gave the suspects what they demanded. Officers responding to the area and observed a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car and attempted to pursue it but it was able to evade police pursuit.

1300 block of Northside Dr. NW – On Aug. 27 in the morning, the victim told police he was sleeping in his vehicle when a male suspect approached. He said the suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded that he surrender his cash. The victim said he fled the scene and that the suspect stole his iPhone 6.

1800 block of Cheshire Bridge Rd. NE – On Aug. 27 in the morning, a victim said he was walking when he was approached by a male suspect. The suspect threatened him with what he believes was a knife. The suspect then took the victim’s phone and money from him. The suspect then fled the scene.

 2000 block of Bolton Rd. NW – On Sept. 1 in the evening at a Metro PCS store, a man told police a male suspect entered the store; said, “This is a robbery”; and told everyone to get on the floor. The suspect was given two Metro PCS bags with $600 in them. The male then fled the location. Surveillance footage captured a picture of the suspect. Latent fingerprints were collected and submitted as evidence.

1100 block of Woodland Ave. NE – On Aug. 28 in the morning, a man said he was assaulted by an intoxicated friend. The victim said that he arrived at the location when his friend began to attack him. He said he left the location and that when he returned the following day the suspect hit his windshield with a metal object and demanded the money he was owed. The victim said he did not owe the victim any money, but that he gave him $20. The victim had visible injuries and lacerations as a result of the incident.

Aggravated Assault

 1900 block of Moores Mill Rd. NW – On Aug. 21 in the morning, the victim said that he was involved in a dispute with a male at the location. He said he believed the suspect may have been under the influence of drugs. While the victim was at the location the male entered the residence and began acting belligerent. He attempted to fight the victim and threw a brick at him, striking him in the chest. The suspect also attacked the victim with a weed eater. Victim advised that the suspect fled the location when he called 911. He believes the suspect may have been jealous of the victim because they had both dated the same woman.

3500 block of Piedmont Rd. NE – On Aug. 26 in the evening, the victim said that while watching a movie, she and the father of her child started to argue. She said that she asked him to leave and that he cocked a gun and pointed at her saying he was “tired of her.” Suspect then left the location.

1900 block of Piedmont Cir. NE – On Aug. 26 in the evening, a victim said he approached a vehicle that was loitering in the area of the business. He told the suspect that he needed to either leave or enter the business. The suspect said he wasn’t going to leave and that the victim couldn’t make him. The victim then said he called the police. The driver then became argumentative and called the victim names. The victim said as he tried to write down the vehicle’s tag that the suspect attempted to run him over. Surveillance cameras observed in the area of the incident.

2000 block of Bolton Rd. NW – On Aug. 31, a woman told police she saw a man inside her vehicle in a parking lot. She said her friend approached the male while he was in the driver’s seat. She said that as he confronted the male that he pulled a handgun on him. The suspect then fled the scene in a getaway vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked. Latent fingerprints were recovered and turned in for analysis.

2600 block of Lenox Rd. NE – On Aug. 30 in the morning at an apartment, a man said he was in a verbal dispute with the arrestee. He said that they had been arguing and that the altercation turned physical. The victim said that the arrestee threw objects at him striking him in the face. A witness said that the two had been arguing and that the arrestee threw the first object. The victim had visible injuries from being struck.

Residential Burglary

100 block of Moores Mill Rd. NW – At an unknown day and time, the back window of a home under construction was pried open. A Viking eight-burner stove was stolen from the location.

2500 block of Forrest Ave. NW – On Aug. 27 at an unknown time, a man told police he saw a suspect fleeing from the rear of his residence after he had received an alarm call at the location. A rear window was discovered forced open at the location. A TV was discovered missing from the location. Latent fingerprints were recovered and turned in for analysis. The victim said he observed two suspicious minivans driving around in the area shortly after the suspect fled the scene.

2300 block of Paul Ave. NW – On Aug. 27 in the evening, the rear door glass door of a house was forced to gain entry. Flat-screen TVs, MacBook Pro, Michael Kors bracelet, flip flops, earrings, hair pins and St. Christopher gold necklace were stolen from the location. Serial numbers were provided for possible tracking.

200 block of Colonial Homes Dr. NW – On Aug. 22 in the evening, the door to an apartment was kicked in to gain entry. A MacBook pro, credit/debit cards, tennis shoes, projector, Xbox, watches and a Kindle were stolen from the location.

1700 block of Northside Dr. NW – On Aug. Aug. 26 during the day, a victim said a flat-screen TV was stolen from his apartment. A witness observed a male suspect running from the rear of the apartment. He was seen fleeing the scene in a tan sedan. Surveillance footage of the incident was captured. Crime scene responded to process the scene for evidence.

4200 block of Peachtree Park Dr. NE – On Aug. 22 in the evening, a victim said that several gold jewelry items and a Kahr .380 pistol were missing from her home. She said there was a day where she left the safe they were contained unlocked while she ran an errand for an hour. Victim advised that a friend and some employees who perform routine maintenance to her residence possess keys to the location.

2100 block of Peachtree Rd. NE – On Aug. 25 in the evening, surveillance footage shows two male suspects enter an apartment through the loading dock. They then later are observed exiting the loading dock with a large black case. The front door lock of the residence was damaged. Diamond watches and miscellaneous other extravagant watches were stolen from the location along with .45-caliber Berretta XPS and a Black IWI Tavor .223.

300 block of Peachtree Rd. NE – On Aug. 23 in the evening, a window to a house was shattered to gain entry to the location. Electronics, jewelry, and silver were stolen from the residence. There is possible tracking to electronics.

700 block of Lindbergh Dr. NE – On Aug. 27 in the morning, an alarm was activated at an apartment. Police found the back door kicked in. An iPad and LG TV were stolen from the location.

2000 block of Bolton Rd. NW – On Aug. 29 in the morning, a witness said he observed two suspects fleeing his neighbor’s home. The burglar bars were damaged to the rear of the home to gain entry. A miter saw was stolen from the property.

2300 block of Bolton Rd. NW – On Aug. 29 in the evening, the front door to an apartment was pried open. No items reported missing.

2400 block of Rutherford St. NW – On Aug. 31 in the evening, an officer responded to an audible alarm at the location. The garage door was discovered open at the location. No entry appeared to be made to the dwelling itself but a bicycle was reported missing from the garage.

200 block of Colonial Homes Dr. NW – On Aug. 28 during the day, the rear door of an apartment was forced to gain entry to the location. Surveillance footage showed a male suspect force entry to the location and steal items. A Dell laptop, Amex card, and driver’s license were stolen from the vehicle.

500 block of Northside Cir. NW – At an unknown date and time, the front window to an apartment was shattered. Three unknown tables and a laptop computer were stolen from the location.

300 block of Lakemoore Dr. NW – On Aug. 31 during the day, a garage door was kicked in a house. A jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry items was stolen from the location. Latent fingerprints were recovered and turned in for analysis.

100 block of Emma Lane NE – On Aug. 31 during the day, a forced entry was made through to the rear of the house. A Stihl hedge-clipper, a jar of coins, a pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun, Stihl blowers and lawn mower stolen from the residence.

3000 block of Lenox Rd. NE – On Aug. 31 in the morning, the back door of a house. The victim told police that he heard someone force entry to his apartment and a gunshot. A shell casing was observed in the apartment. A MacBook Pro, iPad, Samsung TV, Mac Displays, Sonos speakers, Sony Blu-ray player, HP calculators, key fob, garage door remote and iPad mini were stolen from the residence. Latent fingerprints were recovered and turned in for analysis. Surveillance footage of the incident was captured and showed a suspect enter the location and take the items.

700 block of Morosgo Dr. NE – On Aug. 29 in the evening, the door to an apartment was kicked in to gain entry to the location. An Apple MacBook Pro, Vizio TV, PS4, cash, miscellaneous clothing and two iPhones were stolen from the location. Latent fingerprints were recovered and turned in for analysis.

Commercial Burglary

2000 block of Moores Mill Rd. NW – On Aug. 26 in the evening at Treehouse Animal Clinic, the door partition glass was shattered to gain entry. Police were unable to determine what, if any, medications were stolen from the location.

3100 block of Roswell Rd. NW – On Aug. 22 in the evening at Lost Dog Tavern, two locks were damaged to the location. Taken were 20 bottles of black label liquor. The victim said that he saw a homeless man drinking hot beer. He believes this suspect entered the location and believes he also entered the location a year prior.

3200 block of Peachtree Rd. NE – On Aug. 22 in the morning at a hotel, a woman told police her black Taurus pistol had been stolen from her room. She advised that she noticed this when she was checking out. Review of card key times revealed her room was accessed around 1 a.m. Surveillance footage showed a security guard nearby at that time. Security and one other employee are the only people apart from the victim who would possess access to the room.

3500 block of Piedmont Rd. NE – On Aug. 23 in the morning, a brick was thrown through the rear window of a business. An Apple computer, shoes and laptop were stolen from the location.

700 block of Glengary Way NE – On Aug. 24 during the day at a hotel, the door to a room was forced open. A Dell Ultra laptop was stolen from the location. Surveillance cameras captured a male suspect forcing entry to the location.

2500 block of Piedmont Rd. NE – On Aug. 27 in the morning at US Café, a victim said that a former employee forced entry to the location and that Grey Goose vodka and $260 cash was stolen from the location. The victim said that he recognized the suspect on the surveillance footage breaking in as the employee.

3200 block of Roswell Rd. NW – On Aug. 30 in the morning at Piece of Cake, the rear window of the business was forced open and someone stole $180 cash from the location. Crime scene responded to the location to process for evidence and collect latent fingerprints. Photographs were taken of the scene.

700 block of Longleaf Dr. NE – On Aug. 29 in the morning at Gilbane Construction, the office windows were forced to gain entry to the location. Two iPads, two laptops, a Demo saw, two AED defibrillators, a power drill, hard drive and Green Egg thermostat were stolen.

2300 block of Peachtree Rd. NE – On Sept. 1 in the morning at the Children’s & Prep Shop, officers were dispatched to investigate an audible alarm. A witness said that while making his rounds at the location he observed a suspect at the location carrying a small bag. The witness said he approached the location closer as the male was exiting. He advised he observed broken glass and told the male to stop. The suspect began to flee and the witness Tased him. The suspect fled the location after being Tased, having taken the money from the cash register. A total of $130 was taken.

2000 block of Monroe Dr. NE – At an unknown date and time at Public Storage, a man said that his storage unit was forced into at the location. Clothing, iMac and snowboard were stolen from the location. Surveillance cameras were observed in the area of the incident.

Larceny

There were 66 reported larceny from vehicles reported between Aug. 21 and Aug. 27. There were 39 other larcenies, including shoplifting, reported between Aug. 21 and Aug. 27. There were 28 larcenies from vehicles reported between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3. There were 23 other larcenies, including shoplifting, also reported between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3.

Auto theft

There were 11 auto thefts reported between Aug. 21 and Aug. 27. There were five auto thefts reported between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3.
