Ashford Park in Brookhaven will be closed through Oct. 28 for installation of a new shade structure over the sandbox as well as the construction of a new family picnic shelter in the park, according to a city press release.
Ashford Park’s community room will remain open for meetings and rentals. Anyone with questions can call 404-275-9901.
Last year, the playground at Ashford Park was closed for about three weeks so new playground equipment could be installed. The park also includes tennis courts.
