Other community service experience: I’ve been proud to contribute to my community whenever possible, including serving on the Board of Directors of our local Jewish Federation and the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School. I also served on the finance committee of the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School and was a financial advisor to our local Chabad House, and I have been a member of Rotaract. I am also proud to have played a large part in promoting free-market principles by sponsoring the creation of an online resource library at the American Enterprise Institute last year.
Why should the voters choose you for this position?
I’m running for Congress to give the people of Georgia’s 6th District energetic, honest and conservative leadership. It’s time for conservatives to deliver on our promises and work to deliver real solutions for the American people. As your congressman, I’ll put Georgia values before Washington values, listen before I talk, and seek to understand before I disagree. I’ll bring the same work ethic and experience that allowed me to build a successful business with me to Washington to make sure your interests are represented.
What is the biggest issue facing the district and how will you address it?
This biggest challenge facing the 6th district of Georgia and the United States is economic growth. We have to reduce burdensome, job-killing regulations. I have seen first-hand how the regulatory state can burden small business. In fact, when I was running my business converting vehicles to run on clean, American natural gas, the EPA was our biggest obstacle. We also need tax reform to simplify the tax code, which will help reduce the corruption in Washington. We also need to reduce the corporate tax rate to make American business more competitive and allow small businesses to file as corporations.
Tom Price, the former 6th District congressman, was a strong critic of the Affordable Care Act and is now in the Trump administration working to replace it. What is your position on the ACA and will you work with or against Price to replace it?
I have been a vocal opponent of Obamacare from the beginning. I would work with Secretary Price to repeal and replace Obamacare with a free-market-oriented option that increases healthcare options and decreases cost in a conservative, fiscally responsible manner.
