Friends of Lost Corner wins volunteerism award

Friends of Lost Corner, a Sandy Springs park friends group, was named the 2017 Volunteer of the Year by the Georgia Recreation and Park Association at an October ceremony in Columbus.

The nonprofit friends group helps to staff and maintain Lost Corner Preserve, a city park at 7300 Brandon Mill Road. The city nominated the group for the award, according to city spokesperson Sharon Kraun.
