The parking deck of the Atlanta History Center will be turned into a bargain hunter’s paradise Sept. 23-25 during the Forward Arts Foundation’s Flea Market, an annual Buckhead tradition.

Items such as sable and mink coats, Chanel handbags, couture clothes, fine porcelains and antiques, bestsellers and coffee-table books and children’s and menswear will be for sale, and as always, all proceeds will benefit the visual arts in Atlanta including the High Museum, the Atlanta History Center and MOCA GA.

Wilmington Trust and its southeast region President Jack Sawyer and the Alston Family Foundation share the roles of Presenting Sponsors, with significant additional sponsorship from Travis Reed of Harry Norman, Realtors.

The Flea weekend kicks off Thursday night, Sept. 23, with a preview party and silent auction featuring travel donations by Air Tran Airways and by Peter Lloyd and Gene Lashley of Century Travel, jewelry donated by Migliore and Eric Barr, elegant bed linens from Belles Chambres and a “Biggest Loser Package” of training by nutritionist Julie Taube and personal trainer Julie Belknap.

Preview Party tickets may be purchased for $25 each by calling the Swan Coach House at 404-261-9855. The Flea Market is free and open to the public on Sept. 24 from 10 am – 4 pm and September 25 from 10 am – 2 p.m.
