The Dunwoody marching band shook up the show at the DeKalb Marching Band Expo at Hallford Stadium on Oct. 19, with its rousing Classic Rock tribute.

With a drum line solo, electric guitar, violin and dozens of air guitars, the Wildcats mounted a high-energy show featuring songs from favorite rock bands from The Who, Led Zeppelin, Queen and Yes.

Eighteen DeKalb high schools bands, ranging in size from 19 to more than 100 musicians, performed intricate routines across the field while playing arrangements from Stevie Wonder to Frank Sinatra on wind instruments and drums.

The annual exhibition brings together all of DeKalb’s marching bands for a single night. It featured 18 performances over two sessions and ran over schedule almost two hours.
