The Chattahoochee River 911 Authority will host an open house to give Dunwoody residents a peek inside the company that will soon be dispatching their emergency calls.

On Sept. 28, the 911 authority, commonly referred to as ChatComm, will open its doors from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The events will include tours of the facility, light refreshments and information about ChatComm.

On Oct. 3, ChatComm will begin answering Dunwoody’s emergency calls. Police calls will be dispatched immediately, but fire and EMS calls will be transferred to DeKalb County dispatchers.

ChatComm is also the 911 service provider for Sandy Springs and Johns Creek.
