Oglethorpe University has received a $5 million grant, the largest individual gift in the school’s history, the university announced Nov. 8.
The grant, from the Lettie Pate Evans Foundation in Atlanta, will be used to support possible construction of a new campus center, the university said in a press release. More than $30 million has been committed to the project over the past nine months, the university said.
