As part of efforts to increase voter participation in north Fulton County, the city of Sandy Springs will open the doors of city hall to residents who want to register to vote.
Some Sandy Springs staff are now trained registrars and can sign people up Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at city hall, located at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
According to a city press release, “Residents who wish to register at city hall can request registration materials at the Revenue or Planning Permit Departments. Sandy Springs staff that have been trained and certified by the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections Department will be available to assist residents who want to register to vote.”
Mayor Eva Galambos encouraged residents to take advantage of the opportunity.
“There are approximately 8,000 unregistered, but eligible voters in the city of Sandy Springs,” Galambos said in the press release. “Increasing the number of registration locations will make it easier and more convenient to register. I want to make sure every eligible citizen in Sandy Springs is registered and exercises his or her right to vote.”
