Former DeKalb County Commissioner Elaine Boyer will be sentenced some time after the first of the year, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Atlanta says. The sentencing hearing for Boyer, a long-time commissioner who pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the misuse of county funds, had been scheduled for Dec. 3. The new date likely will be in February, Bob Page, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office, said in an email.
