The man suspected in an April 24 rape has been identified, police say.
Roberto Gaona-Pina is wanted by Brookhaven Police and warrants charging him with rape and aggravated assault have been issued.
Detectives seek the public’s help in locating Gaona-Pina, and believe that he could be in the Alabama area.
“The identification of this suspect was made possible by the community’s partnership with us and their desire to keep Brookhaven safe,” noted Chief Gary Yandura. “We will continue to work together to locate this fugitive and help return a sense of safety and security to this victim and our city.” Chief Yandura also thanks the DeKalb County Police Department for their assistance in the case.
