False-statement charges against former DeKalb County Judge Cynthia Becker have been dropped just days after an indictment, according to an ajc.com report.

Becker was accused of lying about her controversial rejection of a plea deal in a 2013 corruption case involving the county’s former school superintendent.

Becker, who is now retired, reportedly acknowledged she unintentionally made incorrect statements about the plea deal, but that she did not lie. The charges, including six felony counts and one misdemeanor count, were dropped.
