Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose joked in his “Weekly Wrap” that a new “drive-thru” is being tested at police headquarters after an SUV crashed into the building.

Sgt. Forrest Bohannon, a spokesman for Sandy Springs police, said a vehicle driven by a civilian struck police headquarters in the morning, and, “thankfully, no one was injured.” The cause of the accident is under investigation and no charges have been made at this time, she said.

“SSPD announced today that the office now has a drive-thru lane located on the south end of the building in what used to be the executive assistant’s office,” Rose wrote. “The initial test was not so successful.”
