Five people believed to be trafficking narcotics were arrested Nov. 24 in Brookhaven, police say.

Angel Perez Banuchi, 44; James Talley, 35; Sandrekius Waters, 39; Juan Carlos Torres-Chavez, 26; Aubrey Elizabeth Kruke, 24; were arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail, Major Brandon Gurley said in a press release.

Officers patrolling the area saw a suspicious person in a hotel parking lot and, during the course of their investigation, they were led to a specific room at the motel, Gurley said.

Police discovered 62.8 grams of methamphetamine, 13.3 grams of marijuana, a half-gallon of liquid methamphetamine and more than $58,000 in cash at the Red Roof Inn on North Druid Hills Road.
