The Dunwoody Police Department is seeking applicants for those interested in wanting to learn more about the force through the seventh Citizens’ Police Academy set to begin March 22.

Participants will learn about officers’ responsibilities, including SWAT, narcotics, gangs, traffic stops and also engaging in live scenarios where citizens will “play the police officer and the [police] will play the bad guys,” according to a press release.

The first class starts March 22 and will meet Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to about 9 p.m. over 10 weeks.

Applicants must be 21 or older and either live or work in Dunwoody. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/dunwoodycpa or call 678-382-6917 or email mark.stevens@dunwoodyga.gov.
