“Adding more lanes doesn’t solve traffic issues,” Reid wrote in the petition. “GDOT needs to expand its vision to 50 years out and adopt a multi-modal approach to handle our growth.”
An early signer to the petition was Doraville City Councilmember Joseph Geierman.
Bus rapid transit is expected to be included on the new toll lanes, according to GDOT.
As of June 3, there were 667 signatures.
