The Atlanta Track Club will host a free run at its Buckhead office June 6 in celebration of Global Running Day. “The Club invites all of its neighbors at Armour Yards, and the greater Atlanta running community, to get active on their lunch break with a run at Atlanta Track Club’s office,” the organization said in a release. Buckhead-based art group donates sculpture to High Museum

The Buckhead-based Forward Arts Foundation has acquired and donated a new sculpture to the High Museum. The sculpture donated was an 1888 Henry Church, Jr., piece entitled a “A Friend in Need Is a Friend Indeed.” The Forward Arts Foundation, which is based at the Swan Coach House on the Atlanta History Center campus, made the gift in celebration of its 50th anniversary, according to a release. Buckhead CID seeks study on potential new Ga. 400 interchange

The Buckhead Community Improvement District is seeking proposals from firms to study the feasibility of adding a new Ga. 400 interchange at East Paces Ferry Road. The study would also look at ways to reconfigure the Lenox Road interchange to make it more pedestrian-friendly. Those two changes were suggested in “Buckhead REdeFINED,” the master plan that was completed last year. Woman shot at Buckhead club, police say

A woman was shot at a Buckhead club on Piedmont Road early May 18, according to the Atlanta Police Department. APD believes the 24-year-old woman was specifically targeted, police said. The victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. The shooting occurred at 4:50 a.m. at Anchor Down Grille and Lounge, according to police. The club and restaurant is located at 2520 Piedmont Road in the Lindbergh area. APS to host budget meeting at Garden Hills Elementary

Atlanta Public Schools will host a community input meeting on next school year’s proposed budget in Buckhead on May 21. The meeting will be held at Garden Hills Elementary School, 285 Sheridan Dr., from 6 to 7 p.m., according to the announcement.
