Former DeKalb judge accused of lying about plea deal

Former DeKalb County Judge Cynthia Becker plans to turn herself in to face felony charges that she lied about her controversial rejection of a plea deal in 2013 corruption case, according to an ajc.com report. The 2013 case involved a plea agreement in the corruption case against former DeKalb Schools Superintendent Crawford Lewis. Lewis agreed to a year of probation in exchange for testifying against others. Becker sentenced him to jail instead.
